Sanjay Dutt Family

Sanjay Dutt was born on July 29, 1959 in the house of Hindi cinema actor Sunil Dutt and Nargis. His mother died before the premiere of his first film Rocky in 1981. As a child actor, Sanjay Dutt appeared in the 1972 film Reshma and Sherra, acted with his father.

Sanjay Dutt Marriage

Sanjay Dutt married Richa Sharma in 1987. Richa Sharma died of brain tumor in 1996. This couple has a daughter, Trishala, who was born in 1988, who lives in the United States with her grandparents.

Sanjay Dutt Career

Sanjay Dutt’s first film was the 1981 film Rocky, which was produced and directed by his father Sunil Dutt. Later Sanjay Dutt appeared in many other films, including films like Vidhata (1982), Naam (1986) and Hathiyaar (1989). His success started with Subhash Ghai’s Khalnayak (1993), for which he received the Filmfare Award nomination.

Sanjay Dutt’s most successful role was a comic bully whose names was Munna Bhai in the movie Munna Bhai MBBS and then in the sequel Lago Raho Munna Bhai. He did one of the most famous and superhit movie Saajan which came in the decade of 90’s. For this movie Sanjay Dutt was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actor Award, then he did the movie Khalnayak for which he won his second Filmfare Best Actor Award nomination. However he was arrested three weeks before the realease of his film Khalnayak and accused of joining the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast.

Controversy

Sanjay Dutt was imprisoned for the majority in the next four years, while at that time his films continued to appear from time to time. Finally, in the end of 1997, he was released on bail and returned to the screen in director Ram Gopal Varma’s Daud, but he turned in a flop.

Year 1999 was seen as Sanjay Dutt’s come back, because that year he did so many hit movies like, stain: The Fire, Haseena Maan Jayegi and acted with the award winning movie Vastu, for which he won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award.

Even after a decade, he played a key role in popular and significant successes such as Jodi No.1 (2001), Pitah, Kante (2002) and National Award winning Blockstar Munna Bhai MBBS, who also received many awards. Later success came with Musafir (2004), Plan (2004) and Parineeta (2005).

For a short time, as he was found guilty under the Arms Act, in spite of this, he made a big name in Dhamal (2007), Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), and All the Best: Mon Beggins (2009), Double Dhhamal (2011) and Agneepath, which once again praised him for critical critics. He also appeared in the Sun of Sardar with Ajay Devgan.

In 2007, he received the award from Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for his work in Munnabhai Series. On March 21, 2013, the Supreme Court blamed Sanjay Dutt for illegal arms for the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, and sentenced him to 5 years of imprisonment. Earlier, the TADA court had sentenced him to 6 years of imprisonment. They have been ordered to surrender within four weeks from March 21, 2013.
